Scenario details
1. Data Synchronisation (REQ-CONN-001)
TC-CONN-SYNC-001: Worker lock-on syncs to other users
- Arrange
- Site Protector A is logged in on Device 1, viewing worksite
- Site Protector B (or RPO) is logged in on Device 2, viewing same worksite
- Both devices are online
- Worker is not yet locked on
- Act
- SP A locks on Worker X via QR code on Device 1
- Assert
- Within 5 seconds, Device 2 shows Worker X in active workers list
- Active worker count incremented on Device 2
- No manual refresh required on Device 2
- Update happens automatically
TC-CONN-SYNC-002: Worker lock-off syncs to other users
- Arrange
- Site Protector A is logged in on Device 1
- Site Protector B (or RPO) is logged in on Device 2, viewing same worksite
- Both devices are online
- Worker X is currently locked on and visible on both devices
- Act
- SP A locks off Worker X on Device 1
- Assert
- Within 5 seconds, Worker X removed from active list on Device 2
- Active worker count decremented on Device 2
- Worker shows as "Locked Off (Shift Ended)" state on Device 2
- No manual refresh required
TC-CONN-SYNC-003: Plant status changes sync to other users
- Arrange
- Site Protector A is logged in on Device 1
- Site Protector B is logged in on Device 2, viewing same worksite
- Both devices are online
- Plant Y is currently locked on with Operator assigned
- Act
- SP A performs plant handover, changing Operator on Device 1
- Assert
- Within 5 seconds, Device 2 shows updated Operator assignment
- Plant status reflects new Operator name
- No manual refresh required
TC-CONN-SYNC-004: Protection state changes sync to other users
- Arrange
- RPO is logged in on Device 1
- Site Protector is logged in on Device 2
- Multi-site PWA is Active, Worksite is Authorised but not Enabled
- Both devices are online
- Act
- Site Protector enables their worksite on Device 2
- Assert
- Within 5 seconds, RPO's Device 1 shows worksite as Enabled
- Protection state badge updated on Device 1
- No manual refresh required
TC-CONN-SYNC-005: Competency updates sync to other users
- Arrange
- Site Protector A is logged in on Device 1
- Site Protector B is logged in on Device 2, viewing same worksite
- Worker X is locked on with competency 'C' only
- Both devices are online
- Act
- SP A adds competency 'TC' to Worker X on Device 1
- Assert
- Within 5 seconds, Device 2 shows Worker X with competencies 'C, TC'
- Worker details reflect updated competencies on Device 2
- No manual refresh required
TC-CONN-SYNC-006: Worksite limit changes sync to other users
- Arrange
- Site Protector A is logged in on Device 1
- RPO is logged in on Device 2, viewing same worksite
- Worksite has track and speed limits defined
- Both devices are online
- Act
- SP A updates track limit from 5km to 3km on Device 1
- Assert
- Within 5 seconds, Device 2 shows updated track limit of 3km
- Protection limits reflect new values on Device 2
- No manual refresh required
TC-CONN-SYNC-007: Missed updates sync on reconnection
- Arrange
- Site Protector A is logged in on Device 1 (online)
- Site Protector B is logged in on Device 2 (goes offline)
- Worker X is not locked on
- Act
- SP A locks on Worker X on Device 1 (while Device 2 offline)
- Device 2 regains connectivity
- Assert
- Upon reconnection, Device 2 automatically syncs
- Worker X appears in active list on Device 2
- Active worker count correct on Device 2
- Sync happens without user intervention
2. Heartbeat & Connectivity (ADR-007, ADR-009)
TC-CONN-HEART-005: Connection status visible to user
- Arrange
- User is logged in and using app
- Act
- Monitor UI for connection status indicators
- Assert
- Clear indicator shows when online
- Clear indicator shows when offline
- Status visible but unobtrusive
- User can understand current connectivity state
- Status updates in real-time with connection changes
